Chevrolet Specialists — Est. 2009

We Don't Work On Cars.
We Work On Chevrolets.

From a '72 C10 that needs the history stripped out to a Silverado HD throwing codes your dealer can't read — every lift in this shop holds a Bow Tie.

Comparison 01 // Diagnostics

A P0300 Misfire.
Two Very Different Reads.

Same OBD-II code. One shop clears it and replaces spark plugs. The other reads cylinder-specific fuel trim data and finds a failing injector on cylinder 4 — before it grenades the engine.

Generic Shop
Generic OBD-II Reader
CODE: P0300
DESC: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
STATUS: Code Cleared
RECOMMENDATION: Replace spark plugs and wires

Plugs replaced. Same code returns 200 miles later. Root cause: still unknown. Second visit charged at full rate.

Torque // Chevy Specialist
GM Tech 2 // Gen IV Platform
CODE: P0300 + P0204 (Cyl 4 Injector)
FUEL TRIM CYL4: +18.4% LTFT // Lean Condition
INJ PULSE: Cyl 4 @ 2.1ms vs 3.4ms nominal
ROOT CAUSE: Injector #4 flow restriction — replace

Injector replaced under warranty. Fuel trims normalize to ±2%. Misfire resolved on first visit. Engine saved from lean-condition damage.

The gap between a code reader and cylinder-specific data is the gap between guessing and knowing.
Comparison 02 // Parts Quality

Same Water Pump.
Different Story.

The aftermarket box looks the same. The casting tolerances, impeller design, and bearing spec are not. On a Gen V LT engine running tight coolant passages, the difference is 40,000 miles of service life.

Performance Builds
LS swaps, cam grinds, head work. Every part specced to the build sheet, nothing improvised.
